Job Title: Translation and Interpretation Manager
Primary Location: Gyeonggi, Korea
Citizenship: Korean / U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Schedule: Full Time; 40 hours per week plus OT (as needed)
Travel: As needed (domestic)

Language on Demand (LOD), is a government contractor located in Annandale, VA specializing in linguistic service providing staffing, translation, interpretation, ASL, and language/culture training to federal agencies. Duties and Responsibilities:
¡¤ Manage and maintain key internal and external relationships with clients, vendors, and staff
¡¤ Manage the development of project plans such as creating timelines of expected turnaround times, submission dates and deadlines
¡¤ Manage 5-7 translation/interpretation projects simultaneously
¡¤ Assess project issues based on customer/staff feedback related to possible gaps, errors, and provide clear solutions to customers
¡¤ Recruit translators/interpreters using available resources
¡¤ Perform quality control over each and every project to ensure projects are submitted on time with quality and within budget
¡¤ Perform proofreading, formatting, and desktop publishing work as needed
Qualifications:
¡¤ Two full years of Project Manager experience in translation/interpretation field
¡¤ Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
¡¤ Proficient with research methods and familiarity with web resources
¡¤ Proficient in Quick Books and Trados
¡¤ Must be organized and be able to pay attention to details
¡¤ Ability to prioritize given tasks and work under tight deadlines
¡¤ Ability to communicate with clarity to both contractors and clients
¡¤ Special skills in locating linguists for rare languages is highly desired
¡¤ Must be able to multi-task on a daily basis with the highest degree of professionalism
Scheduling:
¡¤ Normal work hours are from 9:00AM to 5:30PM Monday to Friday
¡¤ Overtime is occasionally required
¡¤ Daily lunch breaks of 30 minutes
Salary and Benefits:
¡¤ Salary will be determined based on experience
¡¤ Life/STD insurance after 3 months of the probation period
