In this role, as a Finance & Commercial Manager you will act as the finance and commercial business partner to the HUB/LD manager, to co-drive the direction and success of the turbo organization by actively contributing to effective decision making based on profound finance insights and distinct business acumen for Process Automation Business Area in Busan, South Korea.
Reporting to the Company Manager/JV Manager, you will leading and overseeing all finance, commercial and fiduciary matters to sustainably optimize business performance and financial position, representing to company externally and ensure compliance with all legal requirements and internal policies.
This position will be transferred to Turbo Systems Korea Ltd.
Your responsibilities
- Contributing to the definition of the strategy for the local division, serving as the key partner for the relevant business leader (Hub/LD Manager) in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with the wider turbo strategy, and final implementation, maintaining constant contact with relevant other managers regarding financials, market and customer situation, operations and commercial outlook
- Translating strategy into business plans and establishing measurable targets, coordinating and overseeing the business planning and estimating process for the area of responsibility, evaluating financial implications of various strategic decisions, building scenarios, and initiating corrective actions including required follow ups
- Monitoring progress achieved and providing insights and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making, leverage power of financial and nonfinancial data to understand value drivers in the Hub/LD
- Identifying issues and advising local management peers on action plans and operational strategies to resolve, driving appropriate cost structure/control/reductions, productivity optimizations, and capital efficiency to ensure value creation, managing and closely monitoring the cash flow and taking action to improve net working capital
- Analyzing customer and product/agreement profitability, coordinating and ensuring accurate financial bookkeeping in accordance with locally accepted accounting principles and US-GAAP, to be executed by an external trustee, ensuring the on-time preparation of correct statutory financial statements also by means of the aforementioned trustee
- Establishing and maintaining a local governance in line with corporate standards, regulations, policies, and legal requirements
- Ensuring transparency in group and statutory financial reporting and disclosures
Your background
- 5+ years of experience in controlling/accounting function in an international environment (industrial background is an asset)
- Knowledge on SAP (FI and CO, SD and PS are a plus) and excellent MS Office and MS Teams skills
- A university degree in finance or controlling or accounting or chartered accountant (e.g. KICPA, AICPA) or longstanding practical work experience with demonstrated achievements
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach with strong communication skills in English
- An individual who is a strong team player with good problem-solving skills, approaching problems with open mind and persistence to deliver on time
- Ability to handle different topics simultaneously, ideally used to matrix organization structure
