[JOB SUMMARY]
This position reports to Accounting and Treasury Manager to oversee the key financial balance sheet accounts, financial 
closing process and play a key role in driving the financial transformation projects in corporation with various stakeholders in and out of the company.
The role includes processing/reviewing financial entries for the key accounts including fixed/financial asset, stock, provision,
 retirement liabilities and equity.
The GLD accountant will be leading in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to the group in line with the group norm as well as the local financial statutory requirements. Also, the position will require overseeing periodic external audits.

The position will be leading in driving the various financial transformation projects as the focal point of contact in Accounting 
adding value to preparing the finance community for transformation to digital and automated financial processes.
The qualification for the position will be over 5 years¡¯ experience in accounting and consolidation of financial reporting.


[CORE WORK ACTIVITIES]
-Monthly Closing
Drive the monthly closing process by finetuning closing timeline and overseeing/communicating with the Shared Service 
Center/division controllers/divisions throughout the 
closing process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of the monthly financial closing.

-CONSO reporting
Be the lead in submitting group reporting for Balance Sheet accounts in the group reporting platform(CONSO) 6 times a year.
Be the main point of contact for communication with the group accounting for inquiries, update and requests.

-Provision Management
Follow up provision accounts based on monthly postings from all divisions substantiating, valorizing, and keeping track of the accounts.

-Inventory Management
Work with intercompany counterparties, warehouse team and controllers for accurate accounting of inventory movements. Follow the aging of the invoices and clear the outstanding unposted items to the correct accounts periodically. Support accounting 
for destruction, inventory stock-take activities and stock movement activities as and when needs rise.

-Retirement Liabilities Report
Liaise with HR department/external actuary for the timely/accurate delivery of the actuarial reports and ensure correct 
recognition and representation in the balance sheet.

-Chart of Account Management
Be the gatekeeper for any update to the chart of account ensuring the completeness and fairness of 
the account mapping of the local GL with the group accounts.

-External Audit Handling
Deliver accurate and timely audit documentations for the external audit and be the focal point of contact for the auditors 
addressing to all inquiries and requests.
Distribute the audit surveys to relevant point of contacts including division controllers, operations team and HR ensuring correct and accurate delivery of information to the auditors.

-Finance Transformation Projects
Support various finance transformation projects including new financial closing tool, automized asset/invoice posting workflows and KPI tracking tools.


[KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES]
-Deep knowledge in accounting standards (IFRS and preferably K-IFRS).
-Ability to consolidate financial accounts and complete monthly closing under time-constraint.
-Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners representing the team and the company with high sense of professionalism.
-Work with a spirit of enthusiasm, teamwork, cooperation, and a sense of urgency.

[QUALIFICATIONS]
-University graduate.
-3+ years of accounting having consolidated all accounts and submission of financial statements.
-Various experience in external and internal audit preferred.
-AICPA preferred.
-High proficiency in Microsoft Excel/word and financial tools (SAP experience preferred).
-Fluent in both Korean and English.
