Technician | ● Monitor and maintain water quality parameters, including temperature, salinity, pH, and oxygen levels, to ensure optimal conditions for fish growth and well-being ● Conduct regular observations and health assessments of fish populations, identifying and addressing any signs of disease, stress, or abnormalities ● Implement and maintain feed management protocols, ensuring the appropriate nutrient profiles for optimal fish growth and system performance ● Assist in the design, implementation, and operation of sustainable aquaculture systems, particularly the Land-based Automated Recirculating Aquaculture (LARA) system ● Collaborate with the biology team in Austria to breed and rear fish stocks, ensuring the introduction of healthy fingerlings into the aquaculture system ● Utilize computer vision technology and AI-based control systems to monitor fish behaviour and make necessary adjustments to system conditions ● Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on aquaculture equipment and systems ● Keep detailed records of all aquaculture activities, including water quality parameters, feeding schedules, and fish health observations Identify Korean fish species and/or invertebrates and/or waterplants that could be farmed in LARA Systems ● Bachelor's degree in Biology, Veterinary Sciences, Agriculture, or a related field ● Preferred: Experience or knowledge in aquaculture, fish husbandry, or related disciplines ● Familiarity with recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) and their operation is a plus ● Strong understanding of water quality parameters and their impact on fish health and growth ● Ability to identify and respond to signs of disease, stress, and abnormal behaviour in fish ● Proficiency in data collection and record-keeping ● Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills ● Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team ● Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment |
