Purpose of the role
The position has responsibility for global Demand Planning Analytics within the broader Global Supply Chain Planning organization and will focus on developing agile solutions that increase responsiveness and forecast accuracy within the Supply Chain. The successful candidate will utilize analytical tools to drive automation, visualization, master data management and thought leadership for broad based analytics. Must be comfortable building expertise within our ERP systems – Blue Yonder/JDA, Oracle EBS, & JD Edwards.
Primary Responsibilities:
DEVELOPMENT OF ANALYTICAL TOOLS AND REPORTING
- Implements effective techniques to bring efficiency in operations, improve forecast accuracy standards & drive cost savings and revenue capture opportunities;
- Responsible for tracking and managing KPI¡¯s for the Global Demand Planning organization, including forecast accuracy and bias trends at market and point-of-sale level as well as new item and promotional performance outcomes;
- Advancing automation and simplification strategies towards Global Digitalization initiative with an emphasis on automated dashboards and reporting;
- Enhance customer satisfaction by establishing best practices, requirements, procedures while designing internal and external solutions;
- Conduct data analysis, collaborating with demand planning teams to align with corporate goals and prioritize strategies;
- Partner with regional supply chain teams and Affiliate marketing teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis; identify meaningful insights; interpret and communicate insights to business partners.
NEW AND EXISTING ITEM FORECASTING
- Collaborates with regional demand planning and Affiliate marketing teams, providing analytical support in the generation of data-driven, consensus-based forecasts for new promotions and item launches;
- Conducts post-launch and post-promotion analytics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement;
- Generate and leverage data models for forecast accuracy modeling and metric management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement opportunities;
- Global analytics team supports a continuous micro and macro forecast alignment process, directly impacting product service levels, $600MM in global inventory investments, and $8.0B in annual revenue.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
- Partner with regional supply chain teams and Affiliate marketing teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis; identify meaningful insights; interpret and communicate insights to business partners;
- Partner with regional supply chain teams to improve demand forecast accuracy for responsible markets and/or business lines across all points of distribution; propose and support implementation improvement solutions.
Required Knowledge & Skills and/or Related Experience:
- Alteryx & Tableau skills: ability to manage complex data sets and workflows as well as the skills to visualize information in an actionable way for business users
- Basic Statistics: Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and the aptitude to grow deeper skills overtime.
- Predictive Analytics: Ability to build decision making models
- Data Engineering and database management: Familiarity with the database administration and concepts
