JOB TITLE  : Ambassador's Driver

 

 

Responsibilities :

 

¡¤         Driving the Ambassador to the Residence and official functions.

¡¤         Driving Embassy staff and official visitors as required.

¡¤         Ensure the Embassy car is serviced regularly and kept in good running condition.

¡¤         Update vehicle logbook, upkeep of the Embassy¡¯s vehicle which include cleaning, fuelling and maintenance record.

¡¤         Provide other logistics and delivery services for the Embassy.

¡¤         Assisting with Embassy events – transporting and loading equipment as required.

¡¤         Assisting with other administrative duties as needed.

 

Qualification :

 

¡¤         Valid class 1 driving license with clean driving record.

¡¤         3 years professional driving experience – working in a diplomatic or international organization is not a requirement but will be considered an added advantage.

¡¤         Good knowledge of motor vehicle¡¯s maintenance, safety features, their operation and government regulations.

¡¤         Detailed knowledge of Republic of Korea street routes and traffic patterns.

¡¤         Ability to work independently.

¡¤         Great interpersonal, inter-cultural skills and team player abilities.

¡¤         Excellent time management, organizational and orientation skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, work calmly and work under pressure.

¡¤         Willingness to take on a variety of admin related tasks.

¡¤         Prepared to work overtime in the mornings or evenings including weekends and public holiday.

¡¤         Computer skills including basic office programs, information searching and problem shooting.

¡¤         Ability to listen and check converse in English. Understanding written and spoken English is an advantage.

 

We offer :

 

¡¤         The job is being offered on Fixed Term Contract on an initial two-year contract with the possibility for extension on Indefinite Term Contract. In the event of non-performance or incompatibility in the workplace, the employer reserves the right to terminate the contract, giving a period of at least 4 weeks¡¯ notice to the employee.

¡¤         This position is subject to a 3 month probation period.

¡¤         Working hours: working hours are 35 hours a week, from 09.00 – 17.00. When official events, visits, meetings are being held outside of these hours, flexibility by the employee will be required.

¡¤         Illness provision: if you are unable to attend for duty due to illness, you should immediately notify your line manager at the Embassy of Malaysia. All sick leave requires certification by a medical practitioner.

¡¤         Annual Leave: your annual leave entitlement is 15 days per year. Extra to this you are entitled to 17 public holidays declared by the Embassy on yearly basis.

¡¤         Confidentiality: all information which comes to your attention or is disclosed to you in the course of your work at the Embassy of Malaysia is to be regarded as confidential. The disclosure of such information to a third party will be cause for immediate dismissal.
