This position will serve as Reimbursement Specialist at Cook Medical Korea and have responsibilities for product reimbursement within Korean healthcare system.


• Responsible for managing whole procedure of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) & Reimbursement
• Identify and stay current with issues related to the coverage and reimbursement of Cook Medical devices within the Korean healthcare system
• Help develop strategies to satisfactorily address such issues
• Coordinate the efforts to carry out these strategies, including the creation and submission of necessary reimbursement applications
• Support Cook Medical customers when reimbursement questions arise in regard to the use of Cook devices
• Represent Cook Medical’s reimbursement perspective within local trade organization(s)
• Work with the Cook Medical sales and marketing team in addressing coding and reimbursement issues
• Monitor and update the policy environment and requirements to take appropriate actions for the products
• Maintain relationships with the external party such as NECA, HIRA, MOHW and medical societies
• Develop price strategy with relevant clinical and economic data for new products in collaboration with a cross-functional team
• Submit dossier to HIRA or NECA and closely follow-up with authorities after the submission
• Manage overall reimbursement pricing and code maintenance in line with government requirements and company strategy
• Maximize business opportunity in collaboration with business division
• Provide training to Cook staff about the Korean Healthcare system and reimbursement
• Provide input into reimbursement assessments for new product development
• Provide input for market intelligence


• More than 5 years of relevant working experience in medical device industry preferred
• Knowledge of the Korean healthcare system, including how it is financed, how healthcare providers (physicians, hospitals, etc.) are reimbursed for their services, the health system authorities decide what is a covered service, how payment amounts are determined, how reimbursement is applied for, etc.
• Knowledge of how the Korean healthcare system assesses new technologies, and under what circumstances they require technology assessments
• Ability to research and analyze current and past technology assessments and reimbursement decisions related to procedures potentially utilizing Cook Medical devices
• A general understanding of health economic analyses (cost effectiveness analyses) and methodologies for conducting such studies
• Bachelor’s degree holder or above
• Self-motivator
