We are seeking a Raw Materials Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing raw material synthesis, process development for scale up, process changes, developing alternative / second source raw materials supplier, defining critical to performance parameters, and implementing new technologies for raw material improvement.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop innovative approaches to new raw material synthesis, and processing in collaboration with internal R&D and external raw material suppliers.
Review current POR material process and develop a cost efficient and quality driven process for better POR material.
Implement preventative and corrective modifications to raw material products to prevent any potential quality risks due to raw material quality issue.
Design and analyze accelerated shelf-life studies.
Provide technical expertise to suppliers to maintain production performance or restore process capability.
Represent the company during interactions with suppliers regarding raw material quality.
Establish quality requirements for raw materials/ testing processes.
Demonstrate behaviors that exemplify DuPont’s Core Values: Safety and Health, Respect for People, Highest Ethical Behaviors, and Protecting the Planet
Your Qualification Profile:
Ph.D or Mater’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, or other related disciplines
Experience with raw material supplier management is a plus.
Strong background in synthesis technology with proven record in organic synthesis and material development
Experience in the semiconductor, specialty chemical or pharmaceutical industries is a plus.
Strong analytical and critical thinking with the ability to make data driven decisions and actionable recommendations
Familiarity with a variety of analytical techniques, such as NMR, GPC, FT-IR, SEM, DMA, TGS, DSC, etc.
Self-motivated and driven to succeed
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Good oral and written communications skills
