Role Summary:

The Clinical Scientist (Market) is to promote Philips branding and innovations, develop, manage and steer partnership with the luminaries in the market. He/She also drives solid research collaborations, delivers research, education and support in integrated solutions, supports local commercial activities, and aligns with Business Clinical Science team on co-creation and innovations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Performs as an experienced Clinical Scientist in an assigned product modality (PhD level and relevant post-doctoral or industry experience).

• Acts as an informal resource or (functional) supervisor for less experienced colleagues.

• Provides support on research collaborations for a challenging topic and research related solutions.

• Builds and maintains relationships and collaboration projects with research customers.

• Keeps scientifically updated on assigned modality.

• Gives marketing, sales & service teams advices on new technical and clinical developments, assists in writing technical documents.

• Develops and maintains networks and collaboration projects with existing and potential customers; spreads ideas and innovations across customers in the market and between Philips R&D and customers.

• Administers and executes own clinical science related research projects and services.

• Participates in customer presentations during site visits or marketing/academic events.

• Delivers research & education and supports in integrated solutions.
 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Typically requires University degree (Master degree or Ph.D. degree) in medical, biomedical engineering, physics or other relevant technical background

• For PhD, at least 3 years of related experience.

• For MS, at least 5 years of related experience.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company¡¯s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company¡¯s main facilities, generally at the customers¡¯ or suppliers¡¯ locations.
