Job Overview:
The Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the European subsidiary by handling administrative tasks mainly in accounting while also handling HR and general affairs. This versatile role involves managing a range of responsibilities that facilitate internal operations for the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Financial Management
- Balancing/Closing monthly accounts and creating financial reports in collaboration with management and external accountants,
- Manage budgets and provide updates to management.
- Take ownership for the completion of monthly P/L and B/S, including review and preparation of journals
- Ensure general ledger reconciliations are completed and cleared in a timely manner
- Managing Accounts Payables & Receivables
- Liaison with senior management and operations to provide ongoing financial support and insight
HR & General Affairs
- Assist with HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, managing recruitment & onboarding and offboarding processes, tracking attendance/leave records, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Oversee day-to-day office administration, including maintaining supplies, coordinating maintenance, and managing office equipment. Organize meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor¡¯s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in an administrative accounting role (high knowledge of European Taxation system)
- Familiarity with accounting processes, strong numeracy skills, and general office management.
- Fluent in English, Dutch and/or Korean is a bonus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
