JOB PURPOSE
To engage and build strong links with key external medical experts across GSK¡¯s Respiratory Portfolio (GenMed & Specialty) through delivering in-depth, tailored medical engagements. This role serves as a single point of scientific leadership in the field, implementing cross-functional orchestration, insight generation, and aligned execution of medical strategies in asthma and COPD, including both inhaled therapies and biologics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic External Engagement
Serve as the primary field-based scientific expert representing both GenMed and Specialty Medical strategies in respiratory.
Deliver consistent and high-quality scientific exchange with EE¡¯s across the Respiratory portfolio (inhaler + biologics).
Identify and develop engagement plans with targeted EEs based on business needs, local insight, and KEE strategy.
Maintain a structured engagement history and impact-based evaluation per EE.
Ensure interactions are compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
2. Medical Activities & Evidence generation
Implement the planned key medical activities across GenMed and Specialty Medical, including medical education programs, scientific advisory boards, and scientific engagements, ensuring alignment with medical strategies.
Take operational and strategic ownership of assigned projects in collaboration with Medical Leads.
Assist with submission for and preparation of publications and presentations of study data at local medical & scientific meetings and publications.
3. KEE Development
Ensure development plans are initiated and actively managed for identified EEs.
Facilitate speaker development and involvement.
Ensure appropriate KEE development through various projects.
4. Internal Collaboration & Insight Sharing
Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams (Medical Leads, Commercial etc.)
Provide structured and timely insight reporting to influence local strategy and above-country priorities.
Actively participate in internal medical strategy meetings, training, and planning cycles.
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in life science (medical, pharmacy, nursing, biology, clinical) preferred
3+ years of related pharmaceutical/biotech customer-facing role experience (medical affairs, clinical operations) required; demonstrated ability to engage and maintain relationships with external experts (EEs).
Ability to apply and leverage scientific and medical knowledge.
Team orientated interpersonal communication skills.
