[Role overview]
The Projects & Energy Transition team in Seoul is looking for a lawyer with at least 4 years of legal experience. Preference for candidate to join the Seoul office but Singapore may be an option.
Our preferred candidate should have experience working on the financing documentation for large scale financings in the energy (and particularly power and LNG) and infrastructure space that have been structured to support a project financing, as well as transaction management experience and organisational skills.
They should be lateral thinkers and self-starters with a genuine interest in the power and infrastructure sectors and be keen on the international exposure offered by the role.

[Responsibilities]
•Day-to-day responsibility for matters, with direct client contact and contact with local counsel.
•Proactively progressing complex matters with appropriate partner support.
•Drafting and reviewing of financing term sheets, core financing documentation (e.g. common terms agreements, facility agreements, shareholder support agreements, intercreditor agreements), hedging documentation and ancillary financing documentation.
•Negotiating, with appropriate partner support, with counterparties.
•Managing and supervising the signing and closing of conditions precedent under the relevant documentation.
•Advising on waivers under any financing documentation.
•Business development and networking activities.
•Contributing to and refining department know-how.
•Nurturing and mentoring junior lawyers and providing leadership in conjunction with partners.
•While this is primarily a project financing role, our preferred candidate would also have project document experience and be able to assist on the project document workstreams on a given project.


[ÀÚ°Ý¿ä°Ç]

•Relevant legal qualifications (preferably gained in English Law).
•At least 4 years of legal experience gained (preferably) within private practice.
•Experience working on project financings.
•Proficient Korean language skills (speaking, reading and writing).
•Experience working in Asia is preferred but not essential.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including drafting) and excellent organisational skills.
•Confidence to lead effective negotiations with clients and counterparties.
•Strong ability to communicate with and listen to clients in order to understand their needs and how best to meet them. Experience working with local counsel in other jurisdictions and delivering an integrated product.
•Lateral thinker to develop innovative solutions to issues that arise during transactions.
•Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies that indicate problems with the quality of work or a misunderstanding of clients' needs.
•Ability to build team morale and motivate team members, contributing to the creation of a positive work environment and assisting with training and development.
•A proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships.
•Any additional languages (Asian or not) are welcome.
•Experience with international clients, development banks/multilaterals and export credit agencies is preferred but not essential.
