Position Summary
SUNY Korea is seeking a talented new team member to join the Student Services Team, Student Affairs. In this position, the employee will perform a wide variety of duties that foster student engagement, belonging, and well-being. Areas of responsibility include Residential College (as Residence Hall Director), Work Study Program, International Student Services, student events, and other general student services as assigned. This role requires a student-centered and educational mindset, genuine care and a warm attitude toward students, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and operates the Residential College program to foster community building, provide a safe and comfortable living environment, and manage administrative tasks related to student housing
  • Serves as Residence Hall Director: trains and supervises Resident Advisors (RAs), oversees residence hall community, and facilitates community building and student engagement events
  • Manages and develops the Work Study Program (on campus student employment)
  • Coordinates and provides programs designed for international students
  • Maintains accurate and updated records of international students¡¯ visa status using the FIMS system, and advises international students on student visa matters
  • Assesses students¡¯ needs and develops recommendations and guidelines to enhance student services and ensure ongoing support
  • Oversees and supports activities and events on campus
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Student Services Team

  • Bachelor¡¯s degree or equivalent
  • Fluency in both English and Korean, with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with diverse student populations


Plus

  • Relevant experience in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Residence Life, or related fields
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience (e.g., overseeing student staff, RA teams)
