[´ã´ç¾÷¹«] As Director / Head of Brand – Korea, you will be responsible for driving the brand¡¯s commercial expansion and retail execution across the Korean market. This role requires a commercially driven leader with strong department store networks and a proven ability to secure and expand doors in Korea¡¯s major retail channels. Beyond strategic planning, the position requires hands-on leadership of retail operations, ensuring that store teams deliver strong sales productivity and consistent brand standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Market Expansion & Channel Development - Lead the strategic expansion of retail doors across Korea, with a primary focus on major department store groups such as Hyundai, Shinsegae, and Lotte. - Utilize existing senior-level networks with department store buyers and merchandising teams to secure prime store locations and favorable commercial terms. - Identify and execute new distribution opportunities, including department stores, premium malls, and selective wholesale partners. - Develop a 3–5 year retail expansion roadmap including flagship stores, shop-in-shops, and high-performing retail formats. - Lead negotiations with key retail partners regarding store openings, relocations, renovations, and space upgrades.
2. Retail Leadership & Field Execution - Provide strong leadership and operational oversight across all retail locations, ensuring stores deliver best-in-class customer experience and sales productivity. - Closely monitor store KPIs such as sales density, conversion rate, and productivity per square meter. - Work closely with Retail and VM teams to ensure consistent brand presentation and operational excellence across stores. - Conduct regular store visits and directly guide retail teams to improve sell-through, client engagement, and operational standards.
3. Commercial Strategy & Business Growth - Develop and execute annual business plans and growth strategies aligned with global objectives. - Drive top-line revenue growth while maintaining profitability and operational discipline. - Collaborate with MD and merchandising teams to ensure assortment strategies match Korean consumer demand and retail channel dynamics. - Optimize inventory flow, product allocation, and sell-through performance across retail channels.
4. Team Leadership & Organizational Development - Lead and mentor the core management team including Retail, Merchandising, VM, and Wholesale managers. - Build a high-performance retail organization capable of supporting rapid market expansion. - Ensure cross-functional alignment between retail operations, merchandising, marketing, and supply chain.
5. Global Stakeholder Management - Serve as the primary liaison between Korea and Global HQ, providing market insights and strategic recommendations. - Ensure local execution aligns with global brand positioning, merchandising strategy, and creative direction. - Regularly present business performance, expansion plans, and market opportunities to senior global leadership

20+ years of experience in the fashion / retail industry -
Currently holding or previously held a Director / Country Head / Business Unit
Head level position -
Proven experience in expanding retail doors and building distribution networks
in Korea O
Retail Network & Market Knowledge -
Strong existing relationships with key buyers and decision makers within major
Korean department store groups (Hyundai, Shinsegae, Lotte) -
Demonstrated ability to negotiate store openings and secure prime retail
locations -
Deep understanding of the Korean department store retail ecosystem O
Commercial & Retail Leadership -
Strong retail operational leadership with hands-on experience managing store
performance -
Ability to balance brand positioning with aggressive commercial growth -
Experience managing P&L and driving sustainable revenue growth -
Language: Fluent in Korean and English (business level or above) for
communication with Global HQ. O
